Eugene P. "Gene" Kozisek

Eugene, “Gene” Paul Kozisek passed away at the age of 91 in his home in Odessa, Missouri on February 16, 2024 with his wife by his side. He had lived  in Garden City community until moving to Odessa in October 2023. He was  born in David City Nebraska on October 28, 1932 to William and Rose  (Husak)Kozisek. He married Claudia Joanne (Houk) Gulley on December 12,  1975. Gene was employed as a lineman for many years. His last  employment was with Evergy until he retired. Gene’s greatest enjoyments  were farming and spending time with family and friends.  

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and spouses, LaVerne (Norma) Kozisek and Bill (Betty) Kozisek. 

Gene is survived by his wife, Claudia J. Kozisek of the home; 2 sons, Jon  Kozisek, Garden City, Missouri, Ryan (Suzanne) Gulley, Blue Springs, Missouri;  a daughter, Ronda (Tim) James, Odessa, Missouri; six grandchildren, Shelby  Schlechter, Jessica (Ray) Due, Callie James, Timmie James, Anna Mendoza,  Alyssa Mendoza; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Maxine Bredahl,  Columbus, Nebraska; nieces, nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. 

Cremation. No services are scheduled.
