Eugene (Gene) P. Dabbs, 86, Harrisonville, MO was born October 21, 1929 near Stark City, Missouri. He departed this life on November 30, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri.
On December 30, 1949, Gene was united in marriage to Mary Lee Atkins in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Gene lived most of his life in the Kansas City region. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company, Claycomo Assembly plant.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 62 years, Mary Dabbs on December 26, 2011; four brothers, Curtis, Carroll, Dee and Hugh Dabbs Jr.
Gene is survived by three sons, Robert Dabbs (Cheryl), Neosho, Missouri; Thomas Dabbs (Kathy), Trimble, Missouri; and Ronald Dabbs (Donna), Blue Springs, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alma Devall, Independence, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial is in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
