Forest Otho French of Pleasant Hill, Missouri was born on May 6, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri the son of George Otho and Maurene Adel (White) French. He departed this life on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Pleasant Hill Health and Rehab Center at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 11 days.
On July 25, 1928, Forest was united in marriage to Patricia Parsons in Kansas City, Missouri.
Forest was a semi truck driver for 30 years, once he retired he decided to drive the school bus in Kingston, Missouri for another two years before he totaled retired. H wasn’t a talker; he left that to his wife. Forest loved spending time with his grandkids.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia French on July 23, 2004; 2 brothers, James and Clarence French and 2 sisters, Edith Thomas and Audrey Cox.
Forest is survived by 4 children, Cheri Nickles and husband Tim, Macks Creek, Missouri, Christi Zimmerman and husband Gene, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Dannie French and wife Karen, Clinton, Missouri, Jacki Cameron and husband David, Spring Branch, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Barbara Tabor, Clinton, Missouri, Carol Brown, Garden City, Missouri and Libby Longacre, Dayton, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with cremation to follow the service.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Ascend Hospice and may be left at the funeral home.
