Frances Norene Paul, age 83 of Blue Springs, MO, passed away on Friday February 22, 2013.
A visitation was held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Royer-Hayes Funeral Home 205 SW 17th, Blue Springs.
Funeral Services will begin at 2:30 following visitation. Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery.

She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1929 in the Garden City, MO area. Norene lived on a farm in Ballard Mo with her parents and nine brother and sisters. She rode a horse and buggy to school and attended a one room school house in Ballard, MO. She married George Paul, April 21, 1951. They had 51 wonderful years together.
Norene worked at Montgomery Ward’s starting in 1946 for 41 years. After retiring she then worked part time for Tupperware, Wal-Mart and Blue Springs School District. Her life was her family, friends, cooking, working in the yard and looking forward to the grandchildren being there. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for others especially her fried chicken, hot rolls, cinnamon rolls, chocolate sheet cake for everyone especially Tom’s fishing buddies every year, Phil when he would come in town, and every family get together. Everyone would request her chocolate sheet cake, her total for one year was 27. Peanut butter fudge she would make all year and this year which she cooked at Wilshire in December. She always planned the family reunion in June every year for the Setzer side of the family where we would have up to 100 people there. She organized a Montgomery Ward picnic every July where retired employees would gather to reminisce. We want to thank all for the cards, prayers and visits to her from her family, friends and the Blue Springs School District (especially Franklin Smith that would visit her weekly.
Preceded in death by her husband George Thomas Paul, her parents John and Hattie Setzer, sister Datha Southerland.
Survivors are son Thomas Paul (Brenda) of Lake Tapawingo, Diana Farquhar (Neil) of Bradenton, Florida, four grandchildren Scott Farquhar, Amy Cates (Guy), Nicole Todd (Brian), Janelle Barge (Jared) and eight great grandchildren Hunter and Avery Farquhar, Madyson and Mary Cates, Taylor and Michael Todd and Abbi and Gunnar Barge. Surviving brother and sisters Dick Setzer (Ruby), Charlie Setzer, Lois Rich (Robert) Evelyn Boyer, Kenny Setzer (Carol), Anita Fickle, Marge Adams (Dale), Ronnie Setzer (Marty), many other family and friends.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
