Gail DeFluiter

Gail DeFluiter was born January 19, 1947 to Esther and Paul Adkins. In 1970, Gail married Stephen DeFluiter in Kansas City, MO. Steve and Gail were happily married for 53 years.

Gail and Steve would spend time on weekends going for drives and visiting all the small towns Missouri has to offer. Gail was always appreciative of a good deal and loved to shop garage sales, thrift stores and antique shops.

She was a creative personality who enjoyed writing and wrote many inspirational poems throughout her life which she would often share with her loved ones in times of struggle and times of happiness.

Promise Kept

She woke to the sound of angels singing, their voices seemed to fill the sky

The words that they sang just kept ringing, “Wake up, your redemption draws nigh”

There was instant joy for she knew this was Jesus, coming to take her to his home on high

Even as a child, she’d heard the promise, “Don’t give up, your redemption draws nigh”

The sky was ablaze with the brightness of His coming, the Son of God who had died to save every man

And her heart burst with love and happiness, because her redemption was finally at hand
