Garry Lee Kimbrell

July 1, 1963 — July 25, 2021

Garry Lee Kimbrell was born in Kansas City, Missouri on July 1, 1963 to Sherry (Pennock) McArdle and Larry Kimbrell. However, he would want us to let everyone know that he was a Texas boy through and through. He graduated from Splendora High School of Splendora, Texas in 1981, and proudly joined the United States Marine Corps later that year. His most recent place of employment was the Harrisonville Cass R-9 School District where he was a Technology Hardware/Software Specialist, helping students and staff daily.

Garry was not only skilled in technology, but a go-to guy for just about everything else you could think of, from construction, firearms, and auto-mechanics, to canning, gardening, and baking. In this way, he was a homemaker, but also managed to make any place a home by bringing the welcome, care, humor, and brotherly love of home with him wherever he went. Garry was also known for his goofiness, quick wit, selfless love, and undeniably kind heart. He was always ready to crack a joke, or drop everything and help others, no matter what. This wonderful man parted from us on July 25, 2021. May God hold him close and help us all find comfort.

Garry is preceded in death by his wife, Deanna Kimbrell –God, may they live in eternity together with You – and by his parents, Larry Kimbrell and Sherry (Pennock) McArdle. Garry is survived by his daughters, Samantha and Kristen Kimbrell, his stepfather, Johnny McArdle, Honolulu, Hawaii, sister, Angela Moreno, Corona, California, and best friend, Joe Henderson, Raytown, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
