Glee Ruby Wood, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born September 9, 1917 in Garfield, Arkansas the daughter of Hayden and Vesta (Byler) Easley. She departed this life on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 surrounded by love and family at the Crown Care Center, Harrisonville at the age of 98 years, 6 months and 14 days.
On June 5, 1937, Glee was united in marriage to Howard Kenneth Wood in Los Angeles, California. Glee was a homemaker and a seamstress.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wood on July 9, 1997; 5 sisters and 1 brother.
Glee is survived by her daughter, Mary West and husband Vernon, Garden City, Missouri; 3 grandsons, Vernon Ray West and wife Janet, Mike West and wife Linda, and Kenneth West; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-granddaughters; a sister, Bobbie Dart, Charleston, South Carolina; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Twelve Corners Cemetery near Pea Ridge, Arkansas.
The family received friends Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice.
