Mrs. Golda May Burton, of Garden City, Missouri, was born December 6, 1910 in Selma, Kansas, the daughter of Isaac Newton and Blanche Emma (Rudisill) Drury. She departed this life Sunday, April 22, 2007, Adrian Manor Nursing Home, Adrian, Mo. at the age of 96 years, 4 months and 16 days.
On May 21, 1931, Golda was united in marriage C. R. ""Bunt"" Burton.
Golda was a homemaker and a loving, caring, giving star of life. She reared her 10 children and shared their upbringing with her husband and was forever by his side with his farming and gardening throughout the years. She lived her entire married life in and around the Garden City and Adrian area.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, ""Bunt"" on March 16, 1980; all of her brothers and sisters; a daughter-in-law, Shirley; a grandson, Seth and a great-granddaughter, Bailey.
She leaves to honor her memory and grieve her passing, her 10 children, Leroy ""Tony"" Burton and Herbert Burton both of Garden City, Missouri, Ronald ""Jack"" Burton, Lane, Kansas, Charles ""Peanut"" Burton, Odessa, Missouri, Jerry Burton, Sandra Keck and Marcella Vogeler all of Garden City, Missouri, Dennis Burton, Clinton, Missouri, John Burton, Urich, Missouri, Jimmie Burton, Garden City, Missouri; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with interment in the Dayton Cemetery near, Garden City.
