Hannibal S. ?Hank? Fiore was born March 9, 1922 in Fairview, New Jersey the son of Joseph and Maria Laura (Castellano) Fiore. He departed this life Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Research Medical Center, Kansas City at the age of 88 years and 26 days.
On June 22, 1947, Hank was united in marriage to Rose Panitieri in Fairview, New Jersey.
Hank was employed as an electrical engineer for Western Electric in Lee?s Summit, Missouri until his retirement in 1987. While at Western Electric, he was involved in building the largest clean room for the manufacturing of the largest computer chip in the late 1960?s. Hank was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville. He was a Lieutenant in the Navy during World War II, where he served on a destroyer escort hunting submarines off the Eastern Sea Coast. Hank was an accomplished amateur artist, painting portraits of people from pictures and different landscape scenes and enjoyed playing golf with his friends from Western Electric. He was a devoted family man taking care of his wife when she became ill and then their daughter after Rose passed away.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose P. Fiore on January 4, 2006 and a sister, Roma Starita.
Hank is survived by two sons, Dr. Joseph Fiore and wife Shannon, San Diego, California, John Fiore, Las Cruces, New Mexico; a daughter, Laura Fiore, Harrisonville, Missouri; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Tilda Scala, North Bergen, New Jersey and Fina Banich, Seabright, New Jersey; other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass were held Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
