Mrs. Helen Louise Michaels of Harrisonville, Missouri was born March 7, 1918 in Independence, Missouri the daughter of Ernest and Lavina (Curtis) Brown. She departed this life on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville at the age of 94 years, 7 months and 29 days.
On April 10, 1942, Helen was untied in marriage to Robert Frank Michaels in Independence, Missouri.
Helen was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints and attended the Stone Church in Independence. She enjoyed her family, quilting and sewing. Helen had lived in Independence and Belton, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 2000.
Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on January 13, 2003; her brothers, Kenneth and Richard Brown and her sister, Alice Nelson.
Helen is survived by a son, Robert D. Michaels and wife, Carole, Tipton, Missouri; a daughter, Linda Whitehead, Harrisonville, Missouri; three grandsons, Jamey, Troy and Michael; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Viola Hyatt, Sedalia, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral service were held Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonvlle, Missouri with a graveside service and interment at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence, Missouri
