Hubert Mitchell Wyatt, 97, of Greenwood, was born, February 21, 1923, in Paonia, Colorado, the son of David L. and Sally (Reed) Wyatt. He departed this life, Sunday, November 1, 2020, at his home in Greenwood surrounded with love and family.
He was a World War II United States Army Veteran.
On November 21, 1939, he was united in marriage to Thelma Fay Frasure in Osceola, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2013.
Hubert was employed as a Union Electrician through the I.B.E.W. Local #124. He was a member of the Lee’s Summit Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5789. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting antiques and loved Colorado. He was a charismatic person who had the gift to gab and loved visiting with people.
Hubert was also preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Milton, Frank, George, Harley, Earl, and Ruben; and four sisters, Nettie, Peggy, Naomi, and Esther.
He is survived by one son, George David (and Joyce) Wyatt of Holden; two daughters, Sharon Theriot of Greenwood and Linda Warren of Blue Springs; two grandchildren, Shannon Anderson of Blue Springs and Jessica Larson of Independence; three great grandchildren, Kyle Larson, Brian Larson, and Sydnee Larson; two great-great grandchildren, Ava Larson and Dallas Larson; one brother, Calvin (and Marilyn) Wyatt of Hotchkiss, Colorado; one sister, Marjorie Hamblin of Pratt, Kansas; other relatives and friends.
Private family services were held. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
