Irene C. (Spiwak) Dinges

Irene Clara Dinges, 94, of Pleasant Hill, was born, June 29, 1926, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Vincent and Sophia (Kryzck) Spiwak. She departed this life, Thursday, September 10, 2020, at the Lee’s Summit Medical Center.

Irene was a 1944 Pleasant Hill High School graduate.

On December 28, 1944, she was united in marriage to Eugene “Gene” Dinges in Olathe, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1985.
Irene was a Cook for the Strasburg and Pleasant Hill School districts. She was a member of the St. Bridget Catholic church. She liked sewing, gardening, collecting chickens, and cooking for her family.

Irene was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Patrick Dinges; one grandson, Troy Dinges; three brothers, Jesse Spiwak, Ted Spiwak, and Chester Spiwak; and one sister, Genevieve “Jennie” Powell.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Dinges and Michael Dinges, both of Pleasant Hill; her daughter-in-law, Michele Dinges of Kingsville; ten grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2020, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers are Kenny Adams, Johnnie Berry, Clint Dinges, Cole Dinges, Matt Dinges, Todd Dinges, Devin Freed, and Connor Hulett.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Lay Clergy Love Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
