Jake Lee Jacobs

Jake Lee Jacobs, age 16, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born December 21, 2009, in Overland Park, Kansas, the beloved son of Tracy and James Jacobs. He departed this life on February 12, 2026 at Children’s Mercy Hospital Kansas City, Missouri.

Jake lived in Harrisonville, Missouri, where he attended Harrisonville High School and was a sophomore. He brought joy and laughter to everyone around him and was known for his playful spirit and kind heart.

Jake had a love for sports and enjoyed basketball, bowling, and fishing. He was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved the team almost as much as he loved wearing his Travis Kelce jersey. Jake had a fun-loving personality and was known as a big prankster who always kept family and friends smiling.

He had a deep love for music and enjoyed singing and dancing whenever he could. Jake also played guitar and gave it his best, sharing his enthusiasm and joy through every note. He proudly participated in the Special Olympics, where he made lasting friendships and inspired those around him with his determination and bright spirit.

Above all, Jake will be remembered for his joyful personality, infectious laughter, and the love he shared with his family and friends.

Jake is lovingly survived by his parents, Tracy and James Jacobs; his two sisters, Lily Jacobs and Theresa Jacobs; along with many extended family members, friends, classmates, and all who were blessed to know him.

He was preceded in death by his Nana, Mary Foye.

Cremation with a celebration of life will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Harrisonville United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, Missouri. 

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Harrisonville United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, Missouri.
