James August Sieker

James August Sieker, age 87, of Garden City, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Golden Years in Harrisonville, Missouri.

James was born November 14, 1938, in Garden City, Missouri, the son of Gustav and Audrey Sieker. He worked for many years as a truck driver. James enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved being outdoors, whether hunting or working on his farm. He was also a car enthusiast and enjoyed all things automotive.

James is survived by his daughter, Patricia Maurer; his brother, Fred Sieker; his sister, Frances Masoner; his grandsons, Blake Maurer and Charlie Maurer; and his great-grandchildren, Charlie Maurer and Lucia Maurer.

He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Graveside will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
