James Bryan Vaughn of Butler, Missouri was born June 25, 1961 in Strasburg, Missouri the son of James Lee Vaughn and Betty Jo Lugenbeel. He departed this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the age of 62 years, 8 months, 23 days.
James was retired after a long life of hard work. He was a long time resident of Butler, Missouri and was of the Baptist faith. James enjoyed watching football, Nascar, playing darts, being with family and friends and watching television programs centered around cooking and home renovation. He was well known for his kindness and being loving and caring to all he called friend or family.
Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter Tammi on January 19 2024; two brothers, William R. Vaughn and Robert Layne Vaughn.
James is survived by his sons, Jeffery B, Vaughn, Archie, MO, Derek J. Kersting, St. Louis, MO; two brothers, Homer L. Vaughn, Kansas City, MO, Joseph A. Vaughn, Rich Hill, MO; two sisters, Bonnie Majors, Pleasant Hill, MO, Joyce E. Forbus, Independence, MO; several grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
Cremation with a Memorial Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri.
