Jane Charlotte Dubey, 68, of Smithville, Missouri, was born August 2, 1951, in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of James D. and Frances L. (Waldron) Seekins. She departed this life on Monday, January 20, 2020, at the North Care Hospice House, surrounded by love and family.
Jane was a 1969 graduate of the Nokomis Regional High School in Newport, Maine.
On May 5, 1973, she was united in marriage to Roland Clarence “Butch” Dubey in Hartland, Maine. He preceded her in death just 13 months earlier on December 30, 2018.
Jane was co-partners with her husband in their drywall company and floral shop businesses, a loving mother, and homemaker. She was a member of the Grace Linn United Methodist Church in Hartland and most recently attended the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Gladstone, Missouri. She enjoyed crafting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, floral arranging, making candles, baking, and cooking. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Jane was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister Linda Seekins.
She is survived two daughters, Kristan (and Jon) Daily of Parkville, Missouri, and Danielle Dubey of Kansas City, Missouri; two step-children, Dale Dubey of Detroit, Maine, and Angela Pasch of Clarksville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Lauren (and Lyle) Dubey of Kansas City, Zachary (and Tory) Pasch of Kansas City, Alan Pasch of Clarksville, Noah Pasch of Kansas City, Anna Bishop of Kansas City, Keegan Daily of Parkville, and Mackenzie Dunnam of Canaan, Maine; one brother, Phillip (and Beverly) Seekins of Hartland; other relatives; and many friends.
A celebration of Jane’s life was held Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Gladstone Campus, 2800 NE 64th St., Gladstone, Missouri 64118.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Tom’s Mission.
