Jerry A. Cox

Jerry Allyn Cox of Lee’s Summit, Missouri was born February 6, 1942 in Laramie, Wyoming the son of Fred and Helen Faye (O’Bannon) Cox. He went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the St. Luke’s East Hospital, Lee’s Summit at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 8 days.

On June 20, 1964, Jerry was united in marriage to Connie June Cochran at the Lee’s Summit First Church of the Nazarene.

Jerry was employed by Allis Chalmers for 32 years. Later he was employed for 2 years at the Chiefs Stadium. Jerry was a member of the Lee’s Summit First Church of the Nazarene, he loved fishing, hunting and never knew a stranger. He was liked and loved by all!

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunts, Thelma O’Bannon, LaDon Townsend and Lucy Cox; his uncles, Gene O’Bannon, Leroy Townsend and Kenneth Emick and cousins, Kenny Lee and Mike Emick.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Connie J. Cox; a son, Ronald Allyn Cox and wife Darlene; a daughter, Robbin Rachelle Knuckles and husband Jim; a sister, Freida Olson and husband Sir Charles Oswald; his brother-in-law, Kenny Stevens, Bill Cochran, Ronald Lee Cochran and wife Jessie; Richard Hatfield and wife Cathy and William Dale; other relatives and friends.

Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service was held Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the 1st Church of the Nazarene, 900 S. Lakeview Blvd, Lee's Summit, MO 64081.

A Graveside inurnment was held Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
