Jessica “Monkey” Renee Harwood, of Blue Springs, Missouri, departed this life on May 28, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by love and her chosen family.

Jessica was born on February 22, 1989, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of James and Shirley Eddens. She was born and raised in Wentzville, Missouri, where she spent her younger years creating lifelong memories.

Jessica was united in marriage to the love of her life, Kevin Wesley Harwood, at “Lovers Leap” in Hannibal, MO. Together they shared a love rooted in friendship, loyalty, and adventure.

Jessica was a loving and free-spirited soul who lived life boldly and authentically. She had a deep love for motorcycles and was proudly protected by the Punishers LEMC. She also found joy in horses, reading, firearms coaching, diamond painting, and drawing. Jessica had a creative heart, an adventurous spirit, and a deep love for animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Shirley Eddens; and her beloved cat, Bernie.

Jessica is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Harwood of the home; her in-laws, Jim and Cleve Harwood; her beloved cat, Gus; many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who became family throughout her life.

Jessica’s memory will live on through the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the unforgettable spirit she carried everywhere she went.
