Jimmy Glidewell of Harrisonville, Missouri, age 66, departed this life on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at his home surrounded by his wife and family.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, Jim served honorably in the Air Force for over 10 years, earning the rank of Staff Sargent.
A true family man, Jim loved spending time with his family and extended family enjoying the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He was also known for his woodworking skills and his craftsmanship.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Edith Glidewell, Benton, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carol (Hoenshell) Glidewell, daughters: Christy (Lee) Turner, Courtney (Jay) Ross, Danielle (Teddy) Marley, Tara (Derrick) Mayoleth; sister, Nancy (Lanny) Jackson; six grandchildren: Katelyn, Kyleigh, Devin, Jaidyn, Oliver, and Hadley-Rae; one great granddaughter, Marleigh, and his faithful companions Bear and Chloe.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:30 am, Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with Military Honors to follow.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the funeral home.
