Julia "Jewels" Matter Grissom

Julia Pauline "Jewels" Grissom was born February 12, 1957 in Harrisonville, Missouri the daughter of Harry Richard and Grace Evelyn (Gibb) Matter. She departed this life on Monday, December 28, 2020 at her home surrounded by love and family at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 16 days.

Julia was a lifelong area resident. Jewels made an impact on any and every person she made contact with throughout her life. She is so loved and will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard; her significant other, Roger Linthicum "the love of her life".

Jewels is survived by a son, Robert Paul Grissom; her daughter, Carrie Linthicum Roberts (Danny Roberts Jr.) all of Harrisonville, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Tyler Wiecken (Hannah Canaday), Tori Wiecken (Joe Snooks), Kylan Brown all of Harrisonville, Missouri, Jamison and Grace Grissom, Grandview, Missouri; 4 step-grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; her mother, Evelyn Gibb Matter, Cleveland, Missouri; her brother, Rick Matter (Carman), Archie, Missouri; her sister, Lorraine Lackey (David), Osceola, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
