Kevin Scot Burton, age 56, of Harrisonville, MO, joined his loved ones in Heaven on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Kevin was born on September 13, 1968 in Harrisonville, MO, the son of Clyde and Helen (Parrish) Burton.
Kevin graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1987. He was employed by Sun Life Financial for 30+ years and loved his job dearly. He met many coworkers who became close friends throughout his time there. He also spent time driving for Jefferson Lines Bus Company and enjoyed bringing his girls on his routes.
Kevin met the love of his life, Donna (Sammons) Burton, on a blind date in August of 1988. Kevin and Donna got married on December 29, 1990, recently celebrating 34 years of marriage full of love and laughter. Kevin was the father of two daughters Ashley Larson and Sarah Burton. He proudly got the privilege to walk each of them down the aisle at their weddings and often expressed joy about how proud he was of them.
Kevin found immense joy while spending time with his family and friends. His light shined through on those around him as he loved to make others laugh. He was incredibly kind and caring. He was also particularly fond of his two granddaughters and spent time with them often.
Kevin attended services at the Heart of Life Church and proudly displayed his faith in Jesus to those around him. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and going on camping trips with his wife. Kevin passionately cheered on the Kansas City Chiefs team and enjoyed watching the football games at home with his family. He enjoyed having family dinners at Manny’s Mexican Restaurant and took up any opportunity to spend time with his loved ones.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Donna, and two daughters, Ashley (Chace) Larson and Sarah (Austin Limback) Burton. As well as, his mother, Helen Burton, his sister, Cheryl (Bart) Roughton, his aunt, Carolene Davis, his 2 granddaughters, and 7 nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and close friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Clyde William Burton Jr., and his uncle, Lee Davis.
For those that are so inclined, the wearing of Kansas City Chiefs apparel to the services would be totally appropriate.
