Kurt Joseph Mcardle Sr.

Kurt Joseph McArdle Sr. 72 of Springfield, MO left to be with the Lord on 25 April 2025. Born on 23 March 1953 to Joseph McArdle and Ruth Roggenhoffer, in Morristown, NJ. After graduating from Neptune High School in 1972, He joined the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Weapons Specialist. He served on the USS Independence Aircraft Carrier for four years. Kurt always had a knack for wanting to know how things worked, which steered him to residential/ maintenance electrical work. Known to many as "Mr. Fix it" there was never a job, machine, or component to big or small. He was an avid fan of nature and the outdoors, especially fishing. Kurt really enjoyed being around animals of all types. He frequently had wild bird seed for his yard on hand to see what type of bird would come to visit, and even had an area of his fence lower so deer could snack on his apple tree. When he was indoors he loved to tinker with antique clocks, and watch old SiFi and horror movies. Kurt had a contagious smile and positive atmosphere about him. Even after he retired, He got a part time job just to walk around and talk to people. Kurt was a wonderful father to his Son and Daughter in law, and an even better "Papa" to his two grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
