Laura B. Henry

Laura B. Henry of Harrisonville, Missouri was born August 2, 1940 in Alliance, Nebraska the daughter of Robert William and Susie Katherine (Gillming) Goodlet. She departed this life on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at her home near Harrisonville surrounded by love and family at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 2 days.

On October 17, 1995 Laura was united in marriage to William “Bill”  Henry in East Lynne, Missouri.

Laura was employed at Wal-Mart in Harrisonville for 27 years until her retirement as an assistant manager of the shoe department. She was a former member of the East Lynne Baptist Church, East Lynne, Missouri. Laura enjoyed being with her family, grandchildren, playing card and tending to her flowers. She was a lifelong area resident.

Besides her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Bill on June 4, 2010; a son Ricky King on August 2, 1985.

Laura is survived by her children, Tammy White (Mike), Harrisonville, Missouri, Rose Knoor, Garden City, Missouri, Brian Edwards, Cameron, Missouri; six grandchildren, Trisha, Suzy, Steven, Audrey, Charice and Bailey; sixteen great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; her sister, Margaret Ely, Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.

Cremation with a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2023 at Abiding Love Baptist Church, Harrisonville, Missouri.
