Lena Marie Moore

Lena Marie (Lindsay) Moore was born July 1, 1957 in Kearney, Missouri the daughter of Archibald C. and Thelma L. (Owens) Lindsay. She departed this life on April 14, 2022 at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City Missouri at the age of 64 years 9 months and 14 days.
Lena spent her early years in Kearney Missouri where she graduated from Kearney High School in 1975. She met the love of her life, Donney Moore, while working together at Dexter Automotive in 1985 and on May 10, 1986 they were united in marriage. Lena and Donney made their home in Belton, Missouri and started their family.
Lena worked at Dexter Automotive from 1985 to 1999 then at Mission Plastics until her health forced her to retire in 2011. She fought a long battle with COPD but she was always putting everyone else first that was just who she was. Lena's favorite thing to do was thrift store shopping and she loved playing cards and games on her computer. She loved her grandchildren very much and helped to raise them for several years and never once complaining about how she was feeling. Lena was like an energizer bunny...going, going and going.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Michael Ray Moore on December 12, 1990 and a sister Mary Leighton.
Lena is survived by her husband Donney Moore of the home; a son Bill Baggerly (Carla) of Kearney, Missouri; a step-son, Adam Moore (Rebecca) of Belton, Missouri; a brother, Tom Lindsay (Cheryl) of Kearney, Missouri; several grandchildren; many relatives and friends that will miss her gentle soul and smile. Until we meet again. We love you.
Cremation. A Celebration Of Life Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with inurnment in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville following the service.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
