Linda Joyce Huston, of Peculiar, Missouri was born November 8, 1946 in St. Joseph, Missouri the daughter of Marvin and Edith Margery (Lininger) Armagost. She departed this life on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the St. Joseph Medical Center, Kanas City, Missouri at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 25 days.
Linda was employed as a Union Steward for the IRS in Kansas City, Missouri until her retirement in 2014. She was a member of the Bible Fellowship Center, Independence, Missouri where she was the church photographer and enjoyed doing crafts. Linda’s greatest love and joy was spending time with her family. They were the most important thing in her life.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Bailey Schlosser; a daughter-in-law, Diane Pettis; two brothers, Johnny and Donald Armagost.
Linda is survived by 4 children, Wayne Edward Pettis and wife Lena, Appleton, Wisconsin, Lyn Oshel and husband Jay, Saint Joseph, Missouri, Margery Jacobs, Higginsville, Missouri, Mark Polson and wife Christi, Peculiar, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson on the way; two sisters, Thelma Jean Smith, Peculiar, Missouri, Janet Ellis, Gary, Texas; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Bible Fellowship Center, 2502 N. Liberty Street, Independence, Missouri with inurnment at the Rochester Cemetery, Rochester, Missouri at a later date.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
Family ask those in attending the service to be COVID Conscious while at the service.
