Linda Kay Pozniak

Linda Kay Pozniak was born in Higginsville, MO, on October 9, 1949. She departed this life Monday, April 29, 2024, in Harrisonville, MO, at the age of 74. She was the only child born to Kenneth and Berniece Diestelkamp. 

She graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia where she met Michael Pozniak. They married June 3, 1972. Linda was a high school business teacher before they had children. Michael and Linda had four daughters: Kristin, Kori, Karli, and Kayli. After becoming a mom, Linda spent the remainder of her years working inside the home caring for her children. Her life was particularly devoted to caring for Kori which she did selflessly and joyfully. 

She was passionate about her Faith and loved sharing the Gospel with others. She was involved in many Bible studies and prayer groups with other women and couples. She was considered a prayer warrior by many. She blessed countless people with her encouraging notes and written Bible verses and prayers. She spent each morning in quiet time with her Lord. She prayed for everything and for everyone. 

Her creativity and love of crafts was unmatched. She would throw extravagant, themed birthday parties complete with homemade banners, matching t-shirts, and take-home gifts for every kid at the party. Her handwriting was iconic. She believed anything could be fixed with a hot glue gun, permanent marker, or spray paint. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kori Pozniak; father and mother, Kenneth and Berniece Diestelkamp; and step-mother, Helen Diestelkamp.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Pozniak; daughters, Kristin Pozniak, Karli Snider (Pat Snider), and Kayli Wiseman (Steven Wiseman); grandchildren, Jonah Pozniak, Emmitt Enderle, Ella Enderle, Abby Enderle, Henry Wiseman, Walter Wiseman, and George Wiseman.
