Lisa Annette (Hines) Salmon, 43, of Creighton was born December 19, 1969, in Harrisonville, the daughter of Elmer and Christine Hines. She departed this life at her home on March 1, 2013. Lisa was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Creighton.
During her school years at Sherwood, Lisa participated in cheerleading and track and loved the summer softball program. After graduating from Sherwood High School in 1988, Lisa attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg where she earned an Associate degree in Fashion Merchandising and a Bachelor of Science degree in Clothing and Textiles in Business. Lisa later became licensed as a manicurist and worked at Heads or Nails in Harrisonville before starting her own business from home. Lisa married Phillip Salmon in June 1995 and became the mother of two beautiful daughters that were the highlight of her life. Lisa loved being a stay-at-home mom while the girls were young. She was so proud of Jordan and Melaina and all of their accomplishments. Following her divorce, Lisa worked at Church & Dwight and was currently employed at Honeywell.
Lisa had a soft spot for animals and always had a menagerie of dogs and cats. She also loved sweets, especially Red Vine licorice and gooseberry pie. Lisa was a friend to many and was always willing to help others.
Lisa is survived by her parents, Elmer and Christine of Creighton; daughters Jordan Lee and Melaina Christine of the home; sister, LeAnne (and Terry) Salmon of Creighton; friend and former husband Phillip Salmon of Creighton; fiancé Danny Cameron of Archie; other relatives; and a host of many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Jordan and Melaina Education Fund, Creighton Community of Care or Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 8, 2013 at Heart of Life Church, Garden City, Missouri with private family interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Creighton, Missouri.
