On Thursday, October 15, 2020, Lorelei Lorraine Peterman, loving wife, mother and grammy passed away at home surrounded by loved ones.
Lorelei was born on August 20, 1959, in Lockport, NY to Ronald and Elizabeth Allan. Her father was in the United States Air Force, and they traveled to many countries such as France, England and her favorite Germany. She was in ROTC and graduated the top of her class in 1977.
On June 30, 1979 she married Kirby Peterman in the rose garden at Loose Park in KC, MO.
They raised 2 beautiful daughters, Joelle and Isabella. Lorelei gave selflessly of herself as she chose to homeschool both daughters from elementary school to High School. Besides being a teacher, she loved to serve and give abundantly to others. She was a provider and a huge support to many. She had a brilliant mind and the ability to learn any new hobby or skill and do it well in a short amount of time. Lorelei was a faithful servant and loved Christ. She was dedicated to God’s word and enjoyed being a theological mentor to others. Lorelei and Kirby were faithful members of Cornerstone Community Church, Harrisonville.
Lorelei’s pride and joy came with her family but especially when it came to her grand-daughters.
Lorelei is survived by her husband, Kirby, their daughters Joelle Slater (Chris) and Isabella Peterman, their five precious grand-daughters: Summer, Kennedy, Reagan, Bellamy and Bristol. She is also survived by her mother Elizabeth Allan, and brother Michael.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be 6:30 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2020 at the Cornerstone Community Church, 1704 Waters Road, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
