Louis Merk Dolen

Louis M. Dolen, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born August 31st, 1944 in Peoria, Illinois. The son of Virgil and Jane (Merk) Dolen. He departed this life on Saturday, December 10th, 2022 at the age of 78 years.

On July 11, 1984 Louie was united in marriage to Phyllis (Heidrich) Dolen.

Louie was a lover of the outdoors. He spent much of his time in the fall and winter hunting. He enjoyed deer hunting the most but was also known to hunt elk, bison, and pheasants. Louie and his wife Phyllis enjoyed traveling and spending time at their home in South Dakota.  He was a long time fan of the Yankees. He also enjoyed cheering on the Chiefs and Raiders. Louie lived life to the fullest and always made us laugh with his silly sense of humor. He is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, his parents Virgil and Jane, his brother Fred, and brother-in-law Tom Schuler.

Louie is survived by his daughter, Angie Graham and four granddaughters, Aften, Huntre, Avery, and Mable; His sister Nancy Schuler, nieces Stacy Bouma (husband Mike) and Jennifer VanGilder (husband Mike), nephew Joe Schuler (wife Alex), his great nephews Trenton, Thomas, and Ryan, and great nieces Jane, Olivia, and Ella.
