Marcia (Marcie) Joan Waugh-Hinken, age 76, of Belton, MO, passed peacefully in her sleep on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2018 from an extended battle with COPD illness. She was under Hospice Care at Raymore Rehabilitation Facility for the last month.
Marcie was born October 05, 1942 in Kansas City, MO to Charles A. and Margaret M. Waugh. Both parents preceded her in death. She was the oldest of four children. William L. Waugh, her youngest brother preceded her in death also.
Marcie graduated from Grandview High School and lived most of her life in the Grandview/Belton area.
She worked as a Transport Dispatcher with Cartwright Van Lines for many of those years.
She enjoyed riding her horse Dandy, gardening, loving her dogs and cats and most of all loving her daughters and grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters Dianna Lynn Hinken-Smith and husband Pat Smith of Harrisonville and Debra Dee Hinken-Corum of Grandview. She also leaves behind a brother John C. Waugh, sister Anita J. Waugh-Bohannon, two grandchildren Cassie Smith-Aspey and Dean Smith as well as 5 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her dog, Delta and cat, Lillie.
Her devoted daughters were by her side during her last hours.
Marcie requested cremation and no funeral service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
