Margaret Helen Griff, 84, of Belton MO passed peacefully at home June 6, 2016 after a short battle with cancer.
Margaret (Marge) was born in Carthage, MO December 17, 1931 to Elizabeth and Carl Moeller. She graduated from Lillis High School in 1949 and obtained a BS in Business Administration from St. Teresa’s College in 1953. She worked a series of secretarial jobs throughout her life until retiring from 18 years of service from Allied Signal in 1998.
Marge Married Edward Griff in 1958. They lived in Grandview, MO until relocating to south Kansas City where happily together they raised three children until Ed’s passing in 1983.
Marge participated in several pinochle clubs throughout her life, enjoyed playing piano, frequenting garage sales and traveling, and spent the last years of her life researching the lives of famous people for a book she dreamed of publishing. She gave tirelessly of herself to her children and grandchildren, and was happiest when helping them.
She is survived by her three children: Carl Griff, of Peculiar; Matt (Kristi) Griff, of Olathe; Paula (Steve) Meyers, of Harrisonville; and four grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held between 12:30-4 pm Saturday, June 18 at Jack Stack’s Private Dining 13645 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO. Private burial that morning will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Cass County Cremation Services, Harrisonville, Missouri.
