Margaret Katherine Graves

Margaret Katherine Graves, 95, passed away on August 30, 2019, in Harrisonville, Missouri.

Margaret was born on November 9, 1923, in Harrisonville, Missouri, to Walter and Bernice (Berry) Anderson. On January 6, 1943, Margaret was united in marriage to Charles Lawrence Graves in Harrisonville, Missouri.

Margaret belonged to First Baptist Church in Harrisonville, Missouri, for over 70 years and loved her church and family, dedicating her life in service to both. She worked for Grace Company in the design department, retiring after 30 years. After retiring, she worked at Mar-Kee Dress Shop and, later, at the Garden Gate Flower Shop until she fully retired. Margaret loved flowers, sewing, embroidery work, and being with her friends and family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Graves; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Mary Carol Hiser; 2 grandsons and their spouses, Brett and Shannon Hiser, Scott and Rachelle Hiser; 4 great-grandchildren, Sydney, Emily, Ethan and Jack; nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.

The family received friends Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the funeral home.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
