Margaret A. Schrock

Margaret Ann Schrock was born July 7, 1939 in Harrisonville, Missouri the daughter of Walter and Erma Smith.  She departed this life October 15, 2023 peacefully with her children by her side at Sonshine Manor Nursing Home in Republic, Missouri at the age of 84 years. 

On August 21, 1959 Margaret was united in marriage with Robert “Bob” Schrock.  They became the parents of three children, Vernon, Lynn and Wally.

Margaret loved her children and grandchildren and you could often find her at a ballgame supporting one of them.  She also enjoyed Saturday night dances at the Garden City Community Center.  She continued to dance and enjoy music at the “sing-alongs” while in the nursing home.  Margaret was a professional at crocheting and many in town were the beneficiaries of her special handmade items.  She was a member of the Garden City United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed a lengthy career at Edward Jones in Harrisonville. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Erma Smith, husband Robert Schrock, her sister Lucille Sexton and sister Lois Marie Smith. 

She is survived by her three children, Vernon Schrock (wife Quay) of Bentonville, Arkansas; Lynn Schrock Daniel of Clinton, Missouri and Wally Schrock of Nixa, Missouri; grandson Levi Schrock (wife Cassie), grandson Cason McIntyre (Fiance’ Karisa) United States of America, Terry and Brennan Schrock, Columbia, Missouri; great grandchildren Karsyn and Kinzlee Schrock, Nixa, Missouri other relatives and many friends.

Celebration of life Visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2023 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with Inurnment at Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri at a later date.
