Marilyn Maunyane Myler

Marilyn Maunyane Myler, 83, went to be with the Lord on March 26th at her home in Belton, MO. Marilyn was born February 26, 1942, in Windsor, MO to Dorothy Eleanor Carpenter-Pinkston and Aubrey Junior Pinkston.

In 1962, Marilyn and Charles met on a blind date. During the time that they were dating, Charles would all the time be over at Marilyns parents house for dinner time. Marilyn knew that Charles was the one for her right away and on October 25, 1963, Charles and Marilyn were united in marriage in Kansas City, Missouri, and from that day they were inseparable. Together they had 4 children; Paul, Chris, Cathy, and Eric.

Marilyn had several jobs throughout her career. She worked at a Bank on the Plaza, pre-school teacher, the Democrat Missourian newspaper in Harrisonville, and then retired as the church secretary for Church on the Rock in Harrisonville. Marilyn was a very caring person and loved to minister to anyone that would listen to her. She loved taking pictures, doing ceramics, crocheting and counted cross stitch. She loved crocheting baby blankets for anyone that was having a baby. Charles and Marilyn enjoyed traveling and taking cruises. They loved to do things as long as they were together. Marilyn was a only child, so Charles spoiled her just as much or more than her parents did. On May 7, 2024, Charles went to be with the Lord, and Marilyn’s heart was broken. So now she is reunited with Charles and praising God like they always did together.

Marilyn is proceeded in death by her parents; Dorothy and Aubrey Pinkston and her husband, Charles Edward Myler.

Marilyn is survived by her 4 children; Paul Scott (Marylee) Harrisonville, MO Christopher Lee (Tresa) Pleasant Hill, MO Catherine Michele (Darrell) Anthony Harrisonville, MO and Eric Brian (Missy) Harrisonville, MO. Multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and recently her first great-great-grandchild. Although Marilyn was an only child, she was the seed to the beginning of a very large family. Marilyn will be missed by a lot of friends that she made during her lifetime. She touched so many people’s hearts during her lifetime.
