Marvin Ray Crust of Garden City, MO, passed away unexpectedly on May 02, 2023, at the age of 37.

Our family was not expecting his life to be cut short so soon. Marvin was such a loving father, son, brother, nephew, and friend. We are all devastated by this tremendous loss, and he will be forever missed. He had a generous heart that could be felt by anyone he encountered. He was so full of life and was loved by many.

He was born on August 27, 1985, in Clinton, MO, the son of John Marvin Crust and Tina Sue (Gregory) Crust of Garden City, MO.

Marvin was a 2004 graduate of Sherwood High School. Marvin, a military veteran, joined the United States Marines at the age of 21. He served from 2006-2010. He was promoted to the rank of Corporal and served one tour in Iraq.

He truly loved being a dad to his girls Allison and Kimber. They were his life, and he loved them deeply with his whole heart. They always made him smile and put a twinkle in his eyes. He was the best dad and loved showing them new things. They went on many adventures together and enjoyed listening to music and making memories.

Marvin loved dancing and singing while rocking out to ACDC with his girls. He always made sure to let his girls know he loved and hugged them. Marvin always let them know they were best friends forever for life.

Marvin loved his parents. It didn’t matter what time of day or night; he knew their door was open. In fact, he would go over there anytime during the day or night and was welcomed. He spent much time with his parents and loved conversations with his dad and mom.

Marvin’s brother Andrew was his best friend. Marvin enjoyed sharing music with his brother and sharing different experiences. They were extremely close, with a bond never to be broken. They were always there for each other, whether with advice, a song, or hanging out. It meant so much to Marvin when he and Andrew got together.

Marvin was so full of life. His family and friends were his everything. He enjoyed being spontaneous, adventurous, and going full throttle. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and target shooting. He loved to travel, listen to music, and entertain his family and friends. Marvin loved his dog Sara and took her with him on many adventures. Marvin loved looking out over the bluffs at the Osage River.

Marvin will genuinely be missed by his friends of a lifetime or those he just met. He had a knack for making friends quickly. His smile was genuine, and his personality was captivating. He had a big heart and was a caring person. He was a true friend to many.

He will always be remembered with much love by his heartbroken parents, children, brother, and friends.

Marvin was predeceased by his grandparents, Marvin Delbert and Dafney Delorse Crust, Hollie Ray and Jataner Stebbins, and Howard Lloyd Greggory.

He is survived by his parents, John and Tina Crust; two daughters, Allison Crust and Kimber Crust; his brother Andrew Crust (Barbara Neece, Blake Giddings and Tyler Giddings); other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his dog Sara.
