Mary Doris Davis of Harrisonville, Missouri was born February 18, 1917 in Harrisonville the daughter of Roy John and Mary Edith (Barnett) Denham. She departed this life on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at her home surrounded by love and family at the age of 96 years, 6 months and 25 days.
On February 25, 1942 Mary Doris was united in marriage to Harlan A. Davis in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Mary Doris was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Daughter’s of the American Revolution and the Cass County Historical Society. Mary Doris was a lifelong area resident.
Besides her parents, Mary Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan on October 26, 1986; and her brother, Roy “John” Denham.
Mary Doris is survived by two sons, Denham H. Davis and wife, Vikki, Spokane, Washington, Daniel J. Davis and wife, Janet, Indian Rocks Beach, Florida; a granddaughter, Jennifer; two grandsons, Scott and Craig; a great-granddaughter and six great-grandsons; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial is in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests contributions may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church memorial fund or to Cass County Historical Society.
