Norma Rae Hanna McWilliams Burns Loeffel Stone of Harrisonville MO was born February 12, 1927, Kansas City, KS. She was the daughter of Woodfern E and Myrtle Mae Hanna. She departed this life on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 7 days.
In Normas early years she worked as a switchboard operator at Norse Oil Company, was a Secretary for Wholesome Bakery and a manager for Dagwoods Restaurant. Later in life her passion for antiques inspired her to open an antique shop that she ran for approximately 10 years. She then found that she had a talent in cleaning and became the owner and operator of the Tidy Shop eventually growing her business to over 100 clients. Norma loved her life. She enjoyed working in her garden, decorating for the holidays, Christmas being her favorite, but topping the list of Normas passions was her Faith in the Lord and her unconditional and abundant love for her family.
Besides her parents she is proceeded in death by her late husband, Bill Stone, her son Richard Wayne McWilliams, Brothers Earl, Keith and Ernie Hanna, and one sister Lois White. She is survived by her 3 children Randall Burns, Heather Moreland (Mike) and Arnie Loeffel (Diana) all of Harrisonville; 19 grandchildren; 32 gt-grandchildren; 12 gt-gt-grandchildren. 2 brothers, Kenny Hanna (Pam), Warsaw, MO, Wayne Hanna (Pat), Shawnee, KS; 2 sisters, Dorothy King, Kansas City, KS, Peggy Moore, Camdenton, MO, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Cremation with inurnment in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri which will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions may be made Norma Stone Scholarship Fund.
