Patricia “Patty” Fullerton, of Weymouth, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at age 61 in her home, on May 1, 2025 surrounded by love and her family after a long battle with illness.
She was an incredible wife, daughter, sister, mother, and the best Nana ever. Patty was born to Geraldine and Robert Leonard on February 11, 1964 in Somerville, Massachusetts. She and her four siblings grew up in Charlestown, Massachusetts yelling that they saw the Bunker Hill Monument first! That legacy carries on to the rest of the family to this day including her husband of 35 years Peter, and her two children Katie and PJ.
She devoted her life in service to others. She completed her bachelor’s degree in education and Master’s Degree in reading intervention. Her exceptional teaching legacy will live on forever in the hundreds of students that had the privilege of going into her classroom every day. The outpouring of love and support from her teaching community shows just how much of a pillar she was for any school that she was a part of.
Patty was the kind of mom that was there for everything her children did. Whether it was a football game, NHS induction, or 9 hour long colorguard competition, you can be sure that she was in the stands cheering her kids on! That continued with her two grandsons – Nathan and Colton. She was Nathan’s biggest advocate and supporter through the beginning of his school career and his character is a reflection of her love and unending support.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert. She leaves behind her mom Gerry, husband Peter, children Kathryn and Peter Jr, and two grandchildren Nathan and Colton. She was blessed at passing to be surrounded by her siblings Donna, Nanc’, Billy, and Bobby. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews including “her Angel” Alyssa. Patty will be missed beyond measure. Her celebration of life will be back home in Massachusetts. More details on that to follow.
