Paulina May Graef of Independence, Missouri former of Creighton, Missouri was born at home in Oak Grove, Missouri on February 12, 1931 to Elmer and Ruby Duncan. Paulina had lived in Oak Grove until she moved with her parents to a farm in Grain Valley, Missouri. She attended her school years in Grain Valley, graduating from high school in 1948. Paulina had no siblings, but first cousins, Norma Jean, Rosemary and Peggy Williams were like sisters, living close to Grain Valley, Missouri.
Paulina married Gerald Graef on January 23, 1969. A home was built on property next to Gerald’s mother and father in Creighton, Missouri where Gerald and Paulina farmed for 39 years. Gerald and Paulina did not have children of their own, but enjoyed visits on their farm from many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. Paulina was baptized at the First Christian Church of Grain Valley and later transferred her membership to the Creighton Christian Church. She was active in the ladies circle and sang solos for many church services.
In 2008, Gerald and Paulina moved to a home in Harrisonville. Gerald passed away, at the age of 85 on May 14, 2012. Paulina then moved to the Villages of Jackson Creek in Independence, Missouri.
No services are scheduled with interment in the Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, Missouri.
