Peggy Darlene Fillpot, 77, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born, May 12, 1938, in Hill City, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas and Neva (Saunders) Trowbridge. She departed this life Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the Lee’s Summit Medical Center.
She was a 1956 Hill City High School graduate. On October 14, 1958, she was united in marriage to Robert F. Fillpot in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They later divorced.
Darlene was a homemaker. She attended the Pleasant Hill Big Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing bingo.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; 1 granddaughter, Tyler Sue Norton; 4 brothers, Dewayne Trowbridge, Darrell Trowbridge, Dean Trowbridge, and Richard Trowbridge; 1 sister, Delorse Rarick; and one brother-in-law, Sonny Duty.
She is survived by 1 son, Robert Fillpot of Pleasant Hill; 4 daughters, Peggy Vine of Payette, Idaho, Sara Hall and Ellen (and Rocky) Campbell of Pleasant Hill, Velda (and Anthony) Castellano of Lakewood, New Jersey, and Lisa (and Mark) Walker of Columbus, Maryland; 3 brothers, Deverne (and Betty) Trowbridge of Louisiana, Dennis Trowbridge of Texas; 2 sisters, Marty (and Mike) Harwell, and Diane Duty of Texas; 19 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015, at the funeral home. Pastor Todd MacLean will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Pleasant Hill Meals on Wheels and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
