Pete Koelling

Pete Koelling, age 80 of Garden City, Mo departed this life Thursday, November 16, 2023 at his home, surrounded by love and family. Pete was born on May 21, 1943 in Glenco, Mo, to Oscar Koelling and Louise Shields. Pete worked as a roofer and general contractor for many years as well as a maintenance man at the Holiday Inn in Clinton, Mo. In Pete's later years he was known as Garden City residents handyman and the guy that mowed lawns in the Summer. Pete was married to Pat Hyde (Koelling) for 48 years. Pete was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Louise, two brothers Bill and Bud Koelling, three sisters Patsy, Ruby and Doris. He survived by his loving wife of the home Pat Koelling, brother Tom Koelling and wife Becky Koelling, five daughters Christina Crawford (Koelling) and husband Denis Crawford, Cathy Carter (Koelling) and husband Jeff Carter, Donna Hodges (Koelling) and husband Frank Hodges, Bonnie Hamburg (Koelling) and husband Jeff Hamburg, Sherri Hanneman (Fetters) and husband Shawn Hanneman. Grandkids Tommy and Shelby Crawford, Zach Hamburg, Mandy, Emily and Josh Hodges, Wesley, Lindsey and Bradley Hanneman, as well as numerous Great Grandkids and nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 315 Event Space, Garden City, Missouri.

Family suggests memorial contributions to be made to a charity of ones choice.
