Randall Dean “Randy” Newkirk of Harrisonville, Missouri was born April 6, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Gerald (Jerry) Lee and Mettie (Wilson) Newkirk. He departed this life on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas surrounded by love and family at the age of 57 years, 10 months and 24 days.

On October 20, 2007, Randy was united in marriage to Vicki Lee Elliott in Harrisonville, Missouri.

For 31 years Randy was employed by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) mostly working out of the Harrisonville department until his retirement as a supervisor in May of 2014. He was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed raccoon hunting, deer hunting, fishing, mule and horse riding. He never turned down a chance to travel a good backroad while listening to Keith Whitley and could often be found dancing to the music. Randy enjoyed being around his friends and was a dad to everyone. He had lived in Belton, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry. 

Randy is survived by his wife, Vicki Newkirk of the home; a son Justin Newkirk (Brooke), Kingsville, MO; 2 step-sons, Ryan Hader (Beth), Raymore, MO, Lance McFee (Britney), Kansas City, MO; 2 step-daughters, Julie Cant (Tyler), Kingsville, MO, Chelcie McFee (Jeffrey), Pleasant Hill, MO, 2 grandchildren, Ella and Lathan; his mother, Mettie Newkirk, Harrisonville, MO; 3 brothers, Rod Newkirk, Tightwad, MO, Rick Newkirk, Raymore, MO, Mark Newkirk, Peculiar, MO; a sister, Dawnda Conran, Harrisonville, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 at 1:00 p.m at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with interment in Belton Cemetery, Belton, Missouri.
