Raymond Theodore Marley Sr. of Adrian, Missouri was born January 9, 1948 in Marion, Indiana the son of Raymond Albert and Ruth Ellen (Smith) Marley. He departed this life on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Bates County Memorial Hospital, Butler, Missouri at the age of 68 years, 2 months and 18 days.
On June 14, 1974 Raymond was united in marriage to Paulette Faye Bridenthal in Van Buren, Indiana.
Raymond was employed as a die setter for Peterson Manufacturing in Grandview, Missouri until his retirement in 2006. Earlier he was employed at Anaconda Wire and Rope Co. from 1973 until 1988. He was a Army veteran of the Vietnam War. A member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion Posts in Marion and Van Buren, Indiana. Raymond enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and watching NASCAR. He had moved to Adrian in 2005.
Besides his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by a daughter, LeAnn Marley; a grandson, Joel A. Marley and his brother, Joseph.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Paulette F. Marley of the home; two sons, Charles Marley (Candace), St. Joseph, Missouri, Raymond T. "Teddy" Marley Jr. (Danielle), Harrisonville, Missouri; four daughters, Suzie House (Shawn), Wabash, Indiana, Carrie Collins, Garden City, Missouri, Stacy Beasley (Dennis), Garden City, Missouri, Carmen Carver (Clint), Harrisonville, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, James E. Marley, Wilmington, North Carolina, John S. Marley; Sugar Hill, Georgia; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral service were held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Graveside services were held Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri.
