Ret. USAF MSgt. Philip Edward Farrow, of Peculiar, Missouri was born March 18, 1939 in Washington, D.C. the son of Howard Kinnard and Emily Mary (Parrish) Farrow. He departed this life on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at his home at the age of 75 years and 20 days.
On May 1, 1970, Philip was united in marriage to Judith Ann Ostrowski at Ramey Air Force Base in Puerto Rico.
Philip was a veteran of the United States Navy for 10 years and served with the Air Force for 12 years where he retired as a Master Sergeant in 1977. From 1977-1988, Philip was a car salesman for Boots Williams Ford and then from 1988-1995 was a salesman for Don Kahan Chevy, Lees Summit, Missouri. Philip was a member of the Disabled Veterans, Masonic Lodge #450 A.F. & A.M., and the Eastern Star both of Belton, Missouri and the Scottish Rite, Kansas City, Missouri. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, taking care of his lawn and restoring old cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Philip is survived by his wife, Judy Farrow of the home; four sons, James Farrow and wife Sandey, Grandview, Missouri, Richard Farrow and wife Kate, Belton, Missouri, Scott Farrow, Harrisonville, Missouri, Philip Edward Farrow Jr. and wife Estaphana, Ft. Worth, Texas; three daughters, Mary Del Gonzales and husband Fred, Omak, Washington, Cynthia Mauer and husband James, Sioux City, Iowa, Patricia Bass and husband Marshall, Ricardo, Texas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donnie and Robert Farrow; other relatives and friends.
A Masonic Service was held at Monday April 14, 2014 at the Dickey Funeral Home with a Full Military Service provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard, Whiteman Air Force Base, Knob Noster, Missouri.
