Richard Dale Page, of Adrian, Missouri, was born March 10, 1947 near Aaron, Missouri the son of Cecil Lawrence and Nina Irene (Stayton) Page. He departed this life Saturday, June 18, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 8 days.
On September 13, 1997, Richard was united to Lois Kalwei at the Adrian Frontier Village. Richard was employed at the Urich Elevator, Urich, Missouri, Western Electric, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Sutherlands Ranch, Butler, Missouri, Libby Manufacturing, Kansas City, Missouri and then at Panther Products, Harrisonville, Missouri. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing, dancing, spending time with his grandchildren, helping out on the farm and checking the cattle. One of his favorite hobbies was horse back riding and buggy riding. You could find him at many of the local parades riding his buggy and horse.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Page of June 18, 2008; a brother, Lawrence Edwin Page; two sisters, Wilma Love and Barbara Sweet. Richard is survived by two sons; Calvin D. Page, LeRoy, Kansas, Kent Page and wife Lori, Adrian, Missouri; a daughter, Shanda Steinhoff and husband Brian, Urich, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Devon, Cheyenne, Kylie, Colton, Dakota, Dallas, Keslyn and Denver; one brother; Bill Page, Butler, Missouri; three sisters, Evelyn Mickelberry, Urich, Missouri, Donna Taylor and Goldie Fern Page both of Adrian, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
The family suggest that the memorial contributions may be made to the Cove Creek Christian Church, Urich, Missouri.
