Mr. Robert Lester Gardisky was born July 30th, 1936 in Antigo, Wisconsin. His journey on this earth was brought to a conclusion on Saturday, July 20th, 2013.
On June 17th, 1987, Robert was united in marriage to Dixie Lynn Martin in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Robert’s professional life started as a Third Class Fleet Marine Corpsman with the US Navy. All of his duties were stateside with one tour to Italy. He worked at a hospital as a tech in Florida. Then he worked for Abbott Laboratories as a research tech and a sales rep. For years he sold medical research equipment for Beckman Industries and BD Electrodyne. The remainder of his time was spent as a school bus driver. For leisure, he enjoyed ice skating, semi-pro hockey, bowling, dancing, fishing, swimming, camping, boating, and traveling across the country in his RV with his wife, Dixie, and his cat and dogs.
Besides his parents Lester and Marie, he was preceded in death by two of his brothers, Jim and Don and his wife Dixie.
He is survived by 2 brothers; Dick and Bill and his 3 children; Debra and her husband Chuck, Patti and her husband Michael, and his son Geoffrey. His grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew, Kathy, Bradley, Shawn, Dana, and Robbie as well as his great-grandchildren Bayle, Ryan, Aden, Lexia and great step-grandchildren Tyler, and Alexis all of whom will miss him greatly.
He is survived by his 3 step-children; Laurie and her husband Dennis, step- daughter Kristy, Doug and wife Jessica and his step-grandchildren Kayden, Andrew, Jenna, Jorri, Braxton, Kylie, Dakota, Miranda, and great-step-grand daughter Kezia.
The step-children of Robert Gardisky will be hosting a visitation in the afternoon from 12:30-2:00pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2013.
The children of Robert Gardisky will be hosting a visitation in the evening from 7:00-8:30pm on the same day
