Bobby was born on April 2, 1949, in Harrisonville, Missouri, the son of Robert C. and Mina L. (Niswonger) Moore. He attended school in Pleasant Hill, graduating in 1967. He lettered in football, basketball, and track and set the record his senior year for receiving the most swats.
He was united in marriage in 1972 to Marilyn Jean Flippen, and to this union one son, Jeremy, was born.
He joined the Missouri Army National Guard in 1968 after graduation from high school. He served six years and was an E-5 SGT.
He worked with his father in construction before becoming a police officer in Harrisonville in 1977. He served there for eight years, then went to Bendix as a security guard for three years. He also worked 17 years for MFA Oil Company, retiring in 2014.
Since retiring, he enjoyed working in his building on his H.O. gauge trains. He also loved golfing and traveling to see his son and grandchildren in Pennsylvania.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, Vickie (Moore) Chappell; and his sister, Janet (Moore) Gaston.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn, of Harrisonville; his son, Jeremy, and wife, Kendra, of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Sarah Chance, Kaelynne Moore, and Jake Moore; and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Purple Martin Conservation and sent in care to Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.
