Robert Samuel Nicoll, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born September 12, 1929 in Guilford County, North Carolina the son of Samuel Robert and Bertha (Moss) Nicoll. He departed this life on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Golden Years Care Services, Harrisonville at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 29 days.
On February 21, 1950, Robert was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Oesch in Kansas City, Missouri.
Robert was a steel worker for Armco Steel in Kansas City, Missouri. He was an Army veteran. Robert enjoyed going to flea markets, watching western movies and reading western books. He was a very social person and loved talking with people.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Nicoll on February 13, 2013; two brothers, David and Richard Nicoll.
Robert is survived by a son, Robert Eugene Nicoll, State of Washington; 3 daughters, Nola Ann Doria and husband David, Mulberry, Kansas; Tammy Sue Friend and husband Victor, Creighton, Missouri, Donna Kay Grey and husband Tony, Pittsburg, Kansas; 6 grandchildren, Sean, Kendra, Michael, Aaron, Erin and Cory; a great-granddaughter, Olivia; two half-brothers, Danny Nichols, St. Joseph, Missouri and Jimmy Nichols, Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Cremation. A private family inurnment will be held at the Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Grain Valley, Missouri at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Cass County Cremation Service, Harrisonville, Missouri.
