Ronald "Ron" Lee Wilson

Ronald "Ron" Lee Wilson age 70 of Belton, Missouri departed this life Friday, January 30, 2026 at Brookdale State Line, Leawood, Kansas. 

Ron had a love for antiquing and enjoyed discovering unique treasures and pieces filled with history. He completed a full inside/outside remodel of his home, a project he took great pride in and poured his time and creativity into, making it a true reflection of himself.

Known for his silly personality and dry, witty sense of humor, Ron had a special way of making people laugh without even trying. His humor, paired with his genuine nature, made him a pleasure to be around. He had the rare gift of making friends wherever he went, and his warm presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

The final chapter of his professional career was spent at Black & Veatch, where he worked for 16 years and built many valued friendships. 

Above all, Ron valued his relationships and cherished the connections he made throughout his life. His memory will live on through the laughter, stories, and friendships he leaves behind. 

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Fisher-Wilson; daughter, Lauren Fisher; brother, Jimmy Wilson and wife, Corrine, of Georgia; and sister, Barbara Spivey and husband, Jim, of Illinois. 

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Barry and Marie and his brother, Barry “BL” Wilson. 

Ronald will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Cremation with a celebration of life visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
