Rosie Louise Williams

Our mom name is Rosie Williams died June 25 in her home. She was surrounded by her children and fought till the end strong and courageous as always.

She worked at Best Western for 22 years then Golden Years until she retired. She raised all her kids by herself with a strong heat and a strong hand to whop you on the butt when needed. Taught us to hold our faith, be strong, to be kind, and work hard. When she told you to do something you better get on it, never say wait a minute she meant now. She also made sure she showed her love. One of my favorite memories was if a good movie was goanna come on Elvis Presley or John Wayne kids all set floor, we either had popcorn or her famous bread pudding with a scoop of Ice Cream. We loved those times or eating breakfast or supper all around the table eating, talking, laughing, best memories. Strawberries were her favorite whether it was fruit cake, ice cream. She loved watching the birds and squirrels outside.

Everyone had chores and everyone did there share but when she became a grandma it’s like she forgot about chores and rules. Her grandchildren were spoiled and loved her deary-our brother James used to scare her or tease her one day she kicked him in the butt and broke her toe. We laughed and she got so mad she started throwing ash trays at him, so she didn’t have to worry about hurting herself. I feel like we are blessed by having her as out mom. We couldn’t be prouder.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Ann Darlene Capps, 2 sons David and Allen Williams and Richard Joseph Williams and 3 grandsons, Jereme Michael Pinter, Harvey Dewayne Spriknkles and great grandson Dylan Alan Querry.

She is survived by one brother, Henry Sutton and Children Carol Sprinkles, Elmor Williams, James Williams, Sheryl Crabtree and Patricia Blackletter.

She leaved behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was definitely blessed and will be missed terribly. Much love Mom.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
